The Business Unit Planning and Construction Projects (PB) coordinates all construction measures of KIT at the KIT sites. On Campus North and Campus East, this is done as representative of the client KIT, on Campus South and Campus West as representative of the users towards the Landesbetrieb Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg (VBA) as representative of the owner: The state of Baden-Württemberg. Facility Management (FM)
The Business Unit Facility Management (FM) works closely with Business Unit Planning and Construction Projects (PB). It takes care of fault clearance and maintenance of the buildings, their building systems and building services installations.

The department Property Management (FLM) works closely with Business Unit Planning and Construction Projects (PB). By means of actual/target analysis of department FLM, it is determined whether and how the demand for buildings develops.
